All four videos and a photo spread of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro’s visit to the Teamster picket line at Dichello Distributors are now posted. See what happened.

DeLauro stayed for more than 15 minutes, listening to the union employee’s concerns and asking questions.

Having just returned from Afghanistan on Thursday, she was delighted to meet one picketing employee who recently completed a tour of duty in the war.

Her assistant arrived early and stayed with the men and women after the congresswoman left, taking note of information from certain aspects that had been discussed.

Dichello still has not responded to our requests for comment, but today we obtained the latest letter that co-owner Ed Crowley sent to  the retailers that the company serves.

In it, he states that the drivers make $57k to $92k per year ($27.40 to $44.23 per hour), but when DeLauro asked about their wages, several stated their base pay is between $13 and $18 per hour (about $38k per year).
