On July 9th, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro visited Common Ground, New Haven’s high school, urban farm and environmental education center. She joined staff members from the Connecticut Northeast Organic Farming Association, and members of the Common Ground Community, for a discussion of Common Ground’s work, school nutrition, and agriculture in Connecticut.

Rosa had lots of questions for campers and students – and lots of ideas about how to promote healthy school food and sustainable agriculture, inwas increasing reimbursements for nutritious school meals and easing the paperwork that keeps kids from accessing free lunch.
